Judi retires from Harrogate
Judi Clayton played her last game for Harrogate against Haywards Heath. Entering the pool for the first time at the start of the last quarter, she swam for the ball and got it!!!!! Judi then swam from 1/2 way to shoot and score and finished her time at Harrogate on a high with a last minute penalty.
At the end of the match Judi was presented with a bouquet, card and a bottle of something to help pass the long winter nights!!!!
Judi has been with the Harrogate team since their inception in 2001 and has not missed a game, whether league, cup or friendly - a truly remarkable performance.
Judi has coached and trained a lot of the young Harrogate squad into the very good players they are today and is now joining Sunderland in Division 3 to pass on her vast knowledge of the game. She says she is just going to sit on the bench, but we bet its not long before she's in the pool showing them how to go on!!!
Thanks Judi for all your hard work with Harrogate, from Harry, Chris, all the players, and all the parents and supporters.
